Coatepec, Veracruz
Coatepec is a city located 1,250 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.) and 2,163 km north of the equator, within the Cofre de Perote-Pico de Orizaba mountain range, which is a basin with an altitude of 4,282 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.)..
Due to this altitude, when the humid winds from the Gulf of Mexico enter, they collide with the mountain range and are trapped, since it is impossible for them to overcome the fog in the area. This gives rise to what is known as mesophilic forest or " fog forest".
This forest is characterized by its humid and temperate climate, with average temperatures between 17º and 20º, which is ideal for coffee production due to the fact that the factors that improve its quality are those that make the plants grow more slowly, such as low temperatures and moisture.
Our farms
We are committed to producing the highest quality coffee. That is why in our farms we only plant those varieties of Arabica coffee that can obtain an exceptional cup quality potential.
Our farms are planted as follows:
